EDA / EDC

Economic Development Commission

The EDC works to promote the continued growth and development of the community of Norwood Young America, in partnership with the City and the Chamber of Commerce.

The EDC consists of eight members: one City Council member, one planning commission member, a representative from the Chamber of Commerce and five members of the community.

Appointments to the EDC are made by the Mayor and approved by the City Council.  Members serve one year terms.  The members include:

  • Tina Diedrick – City Council representative
  • Bob Saarloos – Planning Commission representative
  • Chris Lund – Chamber of Commerce representative
  • John Fahey – Chair – At Large
  • Sarah Molnau – Vice Chair – At Large
  • Paul Hallquist – At Large
  • Julie Schmidt – At Large
  • Steve Hazelton – At Large

Economic Development Authority

The Norwood Young America City Council members serve as the members of the Economic Development Authority.  The EDA reviews and approves all decisions of the EDC.
